Renaissance Consignment Boutique is a two story upscale retail outlet that offers you the consignor (seller) a well-displayed showroom and maximum exposure for selling your high quality, pre-owned and gently used clothing, accessories and jewelry. Items are consigned for a period of 60 days. Select couture/designer clothing, bags, formals and wedding gowns are consigned for 180 days. Consigning eliminates the cost of classified advertising, strangers in your home, and assures the highest price for your items.

What do you consign?
At Renaissance Consignment Boutique, our goal is to provide high quality clothing and accessories for women of all ages and sizes. What we accept:
Formal Wear: Prom/pageant dresses, cocktail dresses, mother of the bride/groom dresses
Wedding:  Bridal gowns, veils, shoe, slips and accessories
Clothing:  Casual dresses, coordinated outfits, tops, sweaters, fashion jackets, coats, blouses, pants, skirts, shorts and jeans
Business Wear:  Dress suits, pant suits, blazers, jackets
Jewelry & More: Designer jewelry, costume jewelry, sterling silver, watches, bracelets, rings, earrings, as well as those perfumes you hardly used
Accessories: Gently loved and new handbags, shoes, sandals, boots, belts, scarves

How is the item priced?
We price the items to sell with pricing that is fair to both buyer and seller. Our goal is to sell your quality items for maximum profit and as quickly as possible. Our staff sets the price, based in part on their knowledge of the market, as well as researching prices on the Internet. At Renaissance Consignment Boutique, each item stands on its own merits. Factors such as brand, style, age, condition, demand, and past selling history all affect the price we will ask. We encourage you to point out expensive and unique items, as Renaissance Consignment Boutique will work with you on the pricing of these special items.

 How do I consign my items?
By Appointment
Make an appointment during normal business hours
We use our 15 point fashion checklist before accepting items
We keep what we want
We return the items we cannot accept at the end of the appointment
By Mail
You live out of town, or are pressed for time to run by the store
You have checked our guidelines
You drop your items in a box with your contract filled out enclosed
We keep what we want to consign and donate the remaining items
You will receive a donation receipt and a list of items donated in the mail

How do my items mark down and what will I make?
Regular items (A) Consigned for 60 days total.  Mark down: 20% at 30 days – 30% at 40 days – 40% at 50 days. You receive 40% of the selling price.
Couture (D) Consigned for 180 days - will not mark down – you receive 50% of the selling price.
Couture (K) Consigned for 180 days - will mark down 20% at 90 days – 30% at 120 days – 40% at 150 days. You receive 50% of the selling price.
High Design (G) Consigned for 180 days – will mark down 20% at 90 days – 30% at 120 days – 40% at 150 days. You receive 40% of the selling price.
Wedding Gowns (W) Consigned for 180 days – will mark down 20% at 90 days – 30% at 120 days – 40% at 150 days. You receive 50% of the selling price.

What happens to my unsold items?
If you wish for your unsold items to be donated to local charities…simply do nothing… Tax receipts are available upon request
Should you decide you would like back any unsold items be sure to mark your calendar with the expiration date. There is no reminder sent.  Clothing is pulled after hours, so a 2-day notice is required to pull your items. Items not picked within 7 days of the expiration date become the property of Renaissance Consignment Boutique to dispose of as they see fit.

Do I pay a fee to consign?
There is a one-time fee of $25.00 to set up your consignment account. This fee will be deducted from your first item sold.

Do you sell online?
Yes, Renaissance Consignment selects certain items to place on their online web store.  Should your items qualify for the web store, and you desire them to be listed you will be charged a 1% listing fee based on the initial listing price.  This fee is charged for the labor involved in the listing process and is charged against your account whether the items sells or not. This service will provide you the highest possible exposure for selling your items with exposure to a worldwide audience.

Do you accept designer items?
Yes! Designer purses, shoes and accessories sell very well.  Because it is illegal to sell fakes and knock off, we require you, our consignors to guarantee in writing that the items are authentic and that you will legally stand behind this guarantee.    If you received items as a gift or uncertain of the history we ask that you don’t bring the item into the store.
