Renaissance Consignment Boutique is a two story upscale retail outlet that offers you the consignor (seller) a well-displayed showroom and maximum exposure for selling high quality, pre-owned and gently used clothing, accessories and jewelry. Seasonal Items are placed in our store for a period of 60 days. Non-Seasonal Items such jewelry, handbags, shoes and formals are consigned for 180 days. Consigning eliminates the cost of classified advertising, strangers in your home, and assures the highest price for your items.

“What do you Consign?”

At Renaissance Consignment Boutique, our goal is to provide high quality clothing and accessories for women of all ages and sizes. Fashion that can take you from work, to play and to that special event! All merchandise will be selected based on our 15pt checklist. Click here to view it.

Basic Guidelines are:

  • Freshly laundered and on hangers
  • Free of stains and damage – as explained in our 15pt checklist (Link)
  • Current styles
  • All seasons accepted
  • Sizes 0 to plus

What we accept:

  • Formal Wear: Prom dresses, cocktail dresses, mother of the bride/groom dresses
  • Clothing: Casual sweaters, blouses, pants, skirts, shorts, jeans, capris
  • Business Wear: Dress suits, pant suits, blazers, jackets
  • Outerwear – Exercise/Tennis/Golf and that very special lingerie
  • Accessories: Gently loved and new handbags,(designer bags must be authentic), shoes, sandals, boots, belts, scarves
  • Jewelry & More: Designer inspired jewelry, costume jewelry, sterling silver, watches, bracelets, rings, pendants, earrings, as well as those perfumes you never hardly used

“How Is The Item Priced?”

We price the items to sell with pricing that is fair to both buyer and seller. Our goal is to sell your quality items for maximum profit and as quickly as possible. Our staff sets the price, based in part on their knowledge of the local markets, as well as researching prices on the Internet. At Renaissance Consignment Boutique, each item stands on its own merits. Factors such as brand, style, age, condition, demand, and past selling history all affect the price we will ask. We encourage you to point out expensive and unique items, as Renaissance Consignment Boutique will work with you on the pricing of these special items.

“Does my item get marked down?”

Typically, seasonal items are reduced 20% every 30 days. Renaissance Consignment Boutique does have the option to adjust markdowns during special sales events.

“What happens to my unsold items?”

I Never Want to See this Stuff Again!!!

If you wish for your unsold items to be donated to local charities…simply do nothing…

I Just Can’t Part with It!!!

Should you decide you would like them back, please be sure to mark your calendar with the expiration date. Clothing is pulled after hours, so a 2-day notice is required to pull your items. Items not picked within 7 days of the expiration date become the property of Renaissance Consignment Boutique.

“How much will l make?”

We offer you the consignor two different consignor levels. When your account is established you will choose which plan works best for you. You may check your account online at www.myresaleweb.com or simply stop by any time and we will be happy to tell you how much money is in your account.

Store credit . 50% of the selling price credited to your store account and maybe used on any purchase in the store at anytime.

Cash/Check Payout: 40% of the selling price will be paid to the consignor. Account balances are calculated on the first business day of each month for items sold the previous month. Checks will be mailedthe 15 th of each month for accounts with a balance of $50.00 or more. There is a $1.00 charge for checks to be mailed.

“Why didn’t you take all my items?”

Please understand that in order to accept an item in our store, we must be confident that we can sell it. It is our goal and job to make money for you! Based on experience and training in the fashion industry we know what will and will not sell. We may agree that the dress you brought in is stunning or the business suit is fabulous, but not consign it because we know it won’t sell. Sometimes we find ourselves overstocked with certain items and therefore be extremely careful about what items we accept into our store. At other times, we may find ourselves with plenty of room and eager to accept a wider variety of items.

“Do I pay a fee to consign?”

There is a one-time fee of $10.00 to set up your consignment account. This fee will be deducted from your first payout. Buyers pay a fee on every item purchased in the store, which will not reflect on your statement.

“Do you sell online?”

Yes, selected items will be placed on the web to sell. This provides you the highest possible price by exposing your item to aworldwide audience.

“Do you sell only consigned items?”

No! Renaissance Consignment Boutique has a unique selection of new accessories, clothing, boutique buy-outs, as well as jewelry, purses and a great diva gift selection.

“Do you accept designer purses?”

Yes! Designer purses sell very well. We do require proof of authentication for high end designer handbags in order to sell them as genuine. We are unable to take consignment on purses that are not authentic.

“Do you buy outright?”

Yes! We are quite selective and pay about 20% of what we think the item will sell for. Our experience is that you make more money on your items consigning them, but if you would rather not wait we will make a cash buy-out batch offer on your items.

“What if I want a specific item?”

Just let us know. We will add your request to our database and once an item matches your specifications, we will contact you and place it on hold for 48 hours to allow you time to come see it.
